Students will be identifying and comparing various polygons and sorting them by their geometric properties i.e. number of sides, side length, number of inside angles, number of right angles).
Sample Question: Compare a number of 4-side shapes (quadrilaterals). How are they the same?  How are they different?

Sample question: Use a reference tool (e.g., paper corner) to identify right angles and to describe angles as greater than, equal to, and less than a right angle.

We had a very busy, but very enjoyable first day back to school!

Thank you very much for sending in many items such as tissue boxes, large ziplock bags, and dry erase markers with your child. Your contributions to our classroom will be well used and are so appreciated!
Over the next few weeks, the students will be learning about each other and will be familiarizing themselves with our classroom expectations and routines. I have also been enjoying getting to know my new students.
